3rd call for proposals Interreg Poland-Slovakia Programme 2021-2027

The Carpathian Euroregion Association announces the 3rd call for funding for projects under the Small Projects Fund of the Interreg Poland-Slovakia Program 2021-2027.

The call is open for small projects under Priority 3:

A Creative and Attractive Borderland for Tourists

Call Announcement Deadline

The call is announced on February 16, 2026.

Who can apply?

Institutions from Poland and Slovakia based in the Small Projects Fund support area where the small project will be implemented, whose primary objective is not to generate profit, e.g.:

  • local government units together with their subordinate organizational units, and their associations and unions;
  • owners, managers, and operators of facilities and areas constituting forms of nature conservation (e.g., national parks, landscape parks);
  • owners, managers, and operators of cultural facilities and institutions (does not apply to individuals);
  • Non-governmental organizations addressing the specific objective;
  • social cooperatives;
  • local action groups;
  • churches and other religious associations;
  • organizations/institutions involved in tourism at the national, regional, and local levels;

Funding is available for:

  • Supporting the development of cross-border, competitive/innovative/integrated tourism products/services/offers, in order to enhance the role of culture and tourism in economic development and social inclusion;
    Preserving, providing access to, and promoting tangible and intangible cultural and natural heritage of cross-border significance;
  • Creating tourism information and promotion systems that promote the support area as an attractive tourist destination;
  • Building human capital and raising awareness, particularly in the area of ​​disseminating sustainable tourism practices and the requirements of the European Green Deal (including the New European Bauhaus) and digital literacy.

Support Area

Applicants/partners of a small project should generally come from the support area and carry out tasks within this area, i.e.:

On the Polish side: Jasło County, Krosno County, the city with county rights - Krosno, Sanok County, Lesko County, Brzozów County, Bieszczady County, Przemyśl County, the city with county rights - Przemyśl, Lubaczów County, Przeworsk County, Jarosław County, Rzeszów County, and the city with county rights - Rzeszów.

On the Slovak side: okresy from the Prešov Region: Okres Humenné, Okres Medzilaborce, Okres Prešov, Okres Sabinov, Okres Snina, Okres Stropkov, Okres Svidník, Okres Vranov nad Topľou.

Small Project Funding

Funding value: min. EUR 10,000.00 - max. EUR 80,000.00

Total budget: min. EUR 12,500.00 - max. EUR 100,000.00

National co-financing (own contribution) of at least 20%.

The maximum value of funding from the European Regional Development Fund is up to 80% of the eligible costs of a small project.

It is possible to finance part of the national co-financing (own contribution) from the state budget of the Republic of Poland, up to 10% – this applies to non-governmental organizations referred to in Article 3, Section 2 of the Act of 24 April 2003 on Public Benefit and Volunteer Work (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 1327), associations of local government units, and European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation.

Slovak beneficiaries and partners implementing small projects under Priority 3: A Creative and Attractive Borderland for Tourists are not eligible for national co-financing from the state budget of the Slovak Republic.

Small Project Implementation Period

The maximum implementation period for a small project is 12 months.

Funds allocated for the call for proposals

The amount of funds available in the call for proposals is approximately EUR 622,700.00.

Deadline for Submission of Applications

Applications must be submitted from February 16, 2026, to April 16, 2026, by 3:00 PM.

Method of Submitting Applications

Applications, along with attachments, are submitted electronically using the Application and Report Generator (www.e-interreg.eu).

The date and time of receipt of electronic documents are decisive.

PLN to EUR cost conversion rate – applies only to Polish applicants

EUR exchange rate applicable for the second call: 1 EUR = 4.2033 PLN (the exchange rate used by the European Commission in the month in which the call for proposals was announced, i.e., February 2026)
