  2. Supporting and popularizing spa treatment in health resorts located in the Polish-Ukrainian part of the Carpathian Euroregion, including the Lviv region and in the Podkarpacie region

The project will have a positive impact on achieving the main goal of the project by establishing cooperation between medical staff from resorts on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

Mikroprojekt 3 will run from March to October 2014. The first activity carried out in the month of May will be a conference whose aim will be to exchange experiences among medical staff from resorts in the Lviv region and in the Subcarpathian region. The meeting will be held in Ukraine and will be directed to 60 people. On the first day, representatives of Poland and Ukraine will exchange experiences in areas such as: treatment methods for spa patients, and used equipment in health resorts. The next day, representatives of the Polish side will visit several centers in the Lviv region (for example Truskavets, Schidnica) and learn about treatment options on the spot. In August, workshops on writing projects will be conducted in Poland, which will last 2 days. 30 people from Ukraine will take part in them. The first day of training on writing projects will be conducted for representatives of health centers, non-governmental organizations and local governments related to the development policy of health resorts. The next day, representatives of the Ukrainian side will be able to see several health resorts in the Podkarpackie Province (for example, Rymanów Zdrój, Iwonicz Zdrój). Participation in the workshop will allow its participants to deepen their knowledge of writing projects and obtain funds from various programs. The culmination of the microproject will be the publication of a medical guide on health centers in the Lviv region and in the Subcarpathian region. It will contain descriptive information about each facility in the region with particular emphasis on their therapeutic and recreational opportunities. The guide will be aimed mainly at tourists and will be distributed among the partners of the entire Micro Project within the umbrella project. The project will be promoted at every stage of its implementation by: publishing promotional materials, placing articles on various websites on both sides of the border.
